Explanation:
The Department of Development Services' Community Development Division oversees programs that are funded in part by federal funding made available through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

On July 3, 2019, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2019-221, approving the 2019-2020 One Year Action Plan that includes a public service allocation to Liberia Economic and Social Development, Inc. for their Spanish IPAS Program, which provides Spanish classes to low-to-moderate income children.

Due to the continued financial impact of the COVID-19 Health Emergency, the Community Development Division desires to amend the current agreement. This amendment will reallocate the balance of Liberia Economic and Social Development, Inc.'s CDBG funds to support their Feeding Seniors program.

Liberia Economic and Social Development, Inc.'s Feeding Seniors program provides nutritious food to seniors, aged 62 or older, twice per week to eligible Hollywood residents.
