Explanation:
The Department of Public Works will have the responsibility for residential sidewalk maintenance throughout the City. Florida Sidewalk Solutions LLC (FSS) was asked to perform an assessment to identify potential trip hazard locations in three zones within the City limits which resulted in the identification of a total of 1,349 potential trip hazard locations.

These damaged sidewalks are a potential liability for the City and require contractual services for the repair. A contract to repair broken or damaged sidewalks was competitively bid through the Town of Miami Lakes on August 15, 2018, Contract Number ITB 2018-40, for a three year term, beginning September 25, 2018 with two additional one year renewal options. With this contract, the Proposals are provided under the bid's pricing, terms and conditions. This purchase order is subject to the City receiving all insurance and endorsements required and approved by the City's Risk Manager; and

The Director of Public Works and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve issuance of a Blanket Purchase Agreement for the repairs of these damaged sidewalks to Florida Sidewalk Solutions LLC (FSS) in the amount of $104,500.67.
