Explanation:
Gray Robinson was authorized to develop regulations for the small cell technology through Resolution R-2019-342. The agreement authorized the payment of $37,500.00 to the Law Firm (Gray Robinson) for this work. The proposed Ordinance has been developed and is scheduled for Public Hearings and Commission consideration in August and September.
In addition to developing the Ordinance, the Attorney has been available and provided much needed information, clarification and explanation to the Commission, the public, City staff as well as the industry at large regarding the new regulations.
This request is to increase the available funding for this project in the amount of $20,000.00 to cover the cost of these enhanced services, complete the adoption (Ordinance change) process, as well as ensuring there is a future resource for staff, during the transition to implement the new regulations.
This project has not exceeded the original amount allocated. Additional funding is being requested specifically for this project since Gray Robinson assists the City with other legal matters; bringing the City wide contract total close to $100,000.00.

Funding is available in the FY 2020 Operating Budget account number 001.14020.51500.531300.000000.000.000.
