Body

Staff Recommends:  Approval of the Attached Resolution.

Explanation:

The City receives requests for volunteer projects on City owned property and currently there is no policy.  The City wishes to adopt a policy regarding volunteer projects on public land.

The Policy includes a Project Proposal which should contain a scope of work.  The Proposal should include any volunteer identified city resources that are requested for the project and should meet overall City strategies or provide a need that is not currently funded.

Proposed projects will be reviewed by the Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, Director of Public Works, and Director of Development Services or their designees, and provides for an appeal process to the City Manager.

Fiscal Impact:  Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal for a Policy.
