Explanation:

The City of Hollywood has been, and is continuing to be, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and has incurred related costs for emergency protective measures. On March 25, 2020 there was a Federal Major Disaster Declaration which made the City of Hollywood eligible for Federal and State public assistance funding to reimburse a share of the pandemic related costs. The attached federally funded Subaward and Grant Agreement with the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management will enable the City to apply for and receive public assistance funding.

Fiscal Impact:

The City is still accumulating costs related to COVID-19; this Resolution is to ensure the City is eligible for reimbursements for its share of expenditures related to the pandemic.
