Explanation:

The City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2020-112, approving an amendment to the One Year Action Plans for Fiscal Years 2016-2017, 2017-2018, and 2018-2019 allocating supplemental Community Development Block Grant funding (CDBG-CV) made available under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act for Food Pantries.

 

Liberia Economic and Social Development, Inc. (LES) provides food for Hollywood residents at the LES Food Pantry.

 

The Department of Development Services/Community Development Division desires to utilize current CDBG-CV funds to support the LES Food Pantry by providing funding to LES to provide food to Hollywood seniors that have been impacted by the COVID-19 Health Emergency.

 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The Department of Development Services/Community Development Division will manage an agreement with LES funded by CDBG-CV funds.  Funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2020 Operating Budget account number 111.160101.55400.583211.001217.000.000.
