Staff Recommends:  Approval of the Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The City of Hollywood, Marine Advisory Board was established by the City Commission to develop ways to increase revenue from marine industries sector in Hollywood.

 

The Marine Advisory Board is comprised of nine voting members with representatives from the following categories:  three Marine Industry Professionals, three Hollywood Residents and three Members.

 

The Board identifies goals and objectives on an annual basis and provides input to develop ways to increase revenue from marine industries sector in Hollywood.

 

Presently there are five (5) positions created by the vacancy of Juan Mendoza and Pietrocarlo, currently serving as a Marine Industry Professional whose term expires on June 30, 2020; and Henry Buzgon and Larry Gilderman, currently serving as Hollywood Residents whose term expires on June 30, 2020; and Paul Cobb currently serving as Member and his term expires on June 30, 2020.

 

The City Clerk provided notice to the public that positions were available and solicited interest forms from the community to fill the current vacancies.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
