Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Advisory Board was established by the City Commission to promote parks, recreation, cultural arts, special events and golf operations within the City;
The Board identifies goals and objectives on an annual basis and provides input on capital improvement projects and community needs, as they relate to the Department;
Presently there are four adult vacancies created by term expiration of Kathleen DiBona, Paul Farren, Shirley Stealey and Nathan Whitney currently whose terms expire on June 30, 2020;
Presently there are two youth vacancies created by the term expiration of Victoria Mejia and James Jackson;
The City Clerk provided notice to the public that positions were available and solicited interest forms from citizens to fill available vacancies.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to appoint six new board members.
