Staff Recommends:  Approval of the Resolution.

 

Explanation: The Department of Parks Recreation and Cultural Arts requires replacement of existing and outdated grounds maintenance equipment by Hector Turf (Toro). The equipment includes: two Groundmaster mowers, a Zero-Turn mower, a SandPro and a utility vehicle.  This purchase is part of the FY2020 Capital Improvement Program.

 

The award is subject to the City’s receipt and approval of all insurance certificates and endorsements required by the City’s Risk Manager, and indemnity to the City.

 

The Director of Parks Recreation and Cultural Arts and the Director of Procurement & Contract Compliance recommend that the City Commission issue a Purchase Order to Hector Turf for an estimated expenditure of $111,071.45.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this project was included in the adopted FY 2020 Capital Improvement Plan, and is available in account numbers 334-309901-57200-564530-001257-000-000 ($50,000) / 334-309901-57200-564530-001291-000-000 ($61,071.45).
