Explanation:
The 2007 Water System Master Plan identified the need to replace the existing high service pumps at the Water Treatment Plant.
The rehabilitation of the Aeration Building Pump Station will increase the resiliency and reliability of the delivery of finished water to the water distribution system.
Arcadis US, Inc. and the City have an existing continuing Professional Services Agreement for General Engineering Consulting Services for water, sewer, reuse and storm water infrastructure projects pursuant to Resolution No. R-2017-283.
A proposal was requested from Arcadis US, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for the design, permitting and bidding assistance for this project.
The Department of Public Utilities recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to execute the attached Authorization to Proceed for Work Order Number ARC 20-02 with Arcadis US, Inc.
The consultant will complete the proposed professional engineering services in approximately nine months.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project requires an amendment to the approved FY 2020 Capital Improvement Program as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, subject to approval of this resolution.
