Explanation:
In the past, City of Hollywood has been installing bicycle facilities at various locations throughout the City as state, federal and local monies have become available. In order to enhance the existing bicycle network, a Bicycle Mobility Plan is necessary. This plan will identify the missing links, and provide a prioritized list of projects. It will create a connected network of safe bicycle facilities that provide mobility and recreation opportunities for all.
This Plan will be a tool that can be used effectively to apply for various grants for funding on the city’s bicycle infrastructure.
Kimley Horn is one of our consultants from the pool of continuing contracts and was asked for a proposal to develop the City’s Bicycle Mobility Plan.
Fiscal Impact:
The total cost for the services (inclusive of all fees) is $74,240.00. Funding for this service requires amending the approved FY 2020 Capital Improvement Program as detailed in Exhibit A, subject to approval of this resolution.
