Staff Recommends: Approval of the Attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The City of Hollywood desires to install a new traffic signal at Garfield Street and SR A1A; and, as condition of the permit approval; an unrestricted easement for maintenance purposes must be granted to Florida Department of Transportation.  Broward County is the maintenance agency for the proposed traffic signal, and the County requires full and free access and authority to maintain, repair, install, and rebuild equipment associated with the proper maintenance and operations of the Garfield Street signal and mast arm.

 

The City is the owner of the property designated which is a portion of lot 13, block 5 of “Hollywood Beach First Addition” according to the plat thereof, as recorded in plat book 1, page 31 of the public records of Broward County, Florida.

 

The City prepared an easement agreement, where the City grants full and free right and authority to maintain, repair, install, and rebuild equipment associated with the proper maintenance and operations of the Garfield Street signal and mast arm.
