Explanation:
The City of Hollywood needs to purchase maintenance and support for the Police Department's Law Records Management System (RMS) from Superion, LLC. The Records Management System (RMS) is a centralized database system of all law enforcement records relating to police incidents, arrests, citations, etc.

On December 17, 2008, the City of Hollywood and Broward County, pursuant to Resolution No R-2008-394, entered into a new five-year agreement where the County funded a comprehensive law records management system and associated servers from Sungard Public Sector. It was at this point, cities had to enter into their own agreements with the Sungard Public Sector for the shared licenses and maintenance of the system.

On May 20, 2009, via Resolution No. R-2009-121, the City Commission authorized the execution of a Software License and Services Agreement and a Software Maintenance Agreement with SunGard Public Sector, Inc. for client licenses, installation services, and maintenance for the City to utilize the shared County system.

Since 2009, the Software License and Services Agreement and Software Maintenance Agreement have been renewed and the vendor, Sungard Public Sector has undergone several name changes. The vendor's current name is CentralSquare Technologies doing business as Superion.

Under this resolution, the attached Software Maintenance Agreement with Superion LLC., would be renewed for a four-year term, renewable in one-year intervals on a year-to-year basis unless either party decides not to extend the...
