Explanation:
One in three women and one in four men have been victims of physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime. The City of Hollywood is working towards ending domestic violence through supporting efforts that empower and assist victims to find and access resources they need, and to promote awareness to prevent domestic violence in our community.
The proclamation will be accepted by Mary Helen Olejnik, Women in Distress of Broward County.
The proclamation will be presented at the October 2, 2019 City Commission meeting.
