Explanation:
On August 28, 2019, the City Commission passed on first reading an Ordinance that provided that the stormwater rate schedule shall be established by Resolution of the City Commission. On September 18, 2019, the City Commission passed and adopted the Ordinance on second reading. (Please note that the Ordinance No. will be added to the attached Resolution once the City Commission has passed and adopted the Ordinance.)
The stormwater rates have not changed since October 2009, and based on the current Rate Study report dated July 2019, City staff has determined that it is necessary to update these rates in order to provide sufficient revenues to fund the Stormwater Fund for the City.
