Explanation:

The City of Pompano Beach, on behalf of every law enforcement agency in Broward County, has applied for and has been granted funds under the Justice Assistance Grant (“JAG”) Program funding provided by the U.S. Department of Justice. As the local facilitating law enforcement agency, the City of Pompano Beach is required to distribute JAG Program grant funds to each local law enforcement agency. The distribution amount to each local law enforcement agency is predicated upon the population and crime statistics for each jurisdiction. This funding globally enhances a number of the Police Department’s technology driven efforts.
