Explanation:

Mental Illness affects thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and general interaction with others and the stigma associated with mental Illness must be addressed so that no one feels shame or disgrace in seeking help and treatment.

The 2^nd Annual Broward Mental Health Summit brings together leading mental health providers in South Florida to discuss and examine the current issues relating to mental health in Broward County.

The proclamation will be accepted by Beth Taché, Vice Chair of the Broward Mental Health Summit.

The proclamation will be presented at the September 4, 2019 City Commission meeting.
