Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:
The City Commission approved Resolutions R-2018-330 which authorized the approval of a twelve month agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the maintenance of Fire House Alerting Control Stations installed at each of the city's fire stations and Computer Aided Dispatch software.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office and the City of Hollywood entered into an Interlocal Agreement which provides for cooperative participation in the Motorola-based Regional Public Safety Intranet System to support closest unit response in emergency situations.

The attached agreement provides onsite maintenance and Radio equipment (Handhelds, etc.) and software required by the City's Public Safety users to connect to the Broward County Regional Communications Computer Aided Dispatch and Radio System for the period of October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020, and staff has deemed it necessary that Motorola continue to provide such onsite maintenance.

Additionally this Fiscal year, FY20, service and maintenance of the Radio Infrastructure, traditionally paid for by Broward County, and located at the Fire Administration Building as well as the three City Towers and used for Radio Communications will be paid for by the City. The cost for this additional amount is $184,760.04 over and above the historical $195,000.00 annual payments for the total approximate cost of $380,000.00.
