The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department is requesting to purchase four new pieces of apparatus. This will be the initial purchase from the GO Bond to begin the process of replacing some of the units from our aging fleet.

We will be purchasing two Pierce Impel Pumpers (Fire Trucks) from Ten-8 Fire Equipment, Inc. The total price for these two units is $1,168,632.00.  One unit will be replacing E-40 which currently serves District 40, and the other unit will be replacing E-45 which currently serves District 45.

Ten-8 Fire Equipment, Inc. is offering the City a pre-paid discount of $36,423.00 if the City submits payment within 15 days.

In addition, we are requesting to purchase two Custom Horton Rescue Transport Vehicles from REV Technical Center.  The total price of the two units is $631,280.04.  One unit will be replacing R-40 which currently serves District 40, and the other unit will be replacing R-205 which currently serves District 5.
