Explanation:
The Police Department, contingent upon City Commission approval, intends to submit a proposal to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Derelict Vessel Removal Program Grant. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (“FWC”) initiated this grant program to assist with the removal and proper disposal of derelict vessels from waterways. If awarded, grant funds for the award period Fiscal Year 2019, in the amount of $12,750.00, together with $4,250.00 in matching funds from Broward Boating Improvement Program Grant, approved by R-2017-239, will be used for the removal and disposal of derelict vessels located in the waterways of the City of Hollywood.
