Explanation:
The City Commission and Administration recognizes the importance of revitalizing the economic viability of the City. Towards this end, the Department of Design and Construction Management has been tasked to renovate the Hollywood Beach Golf Course and construct a new Clubhouse which was approved by the General Obligation Bond.
The City followed the procedures established in the Florida Statutes, Section 287.055, Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) to procure services from Architectural/Engineering consulting firms. The City advertised on Bidsync on April 29, 2019 a Request for Qualifications to Provide Architectural/Engineering Design Services and provided a scope of the project and selection criteria that will be used for ranking the responses.
Statements of Qualifications was received on May 30, 2019 from eight (8) firms. Upon review of the Statement of Qualifications, the firms were ranked based upon specific selection criteria. The Evaluation Committee was comprised of in-house professionals, more specifically; the City Engineer, the Interim Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, the Planning Manager, a Senior Engineer and a Parks Manager. Oral Interviews were held on June 13, 2019 with the following five highest ranked firms:
1. Kipp Schulties Golf Design
2. Dusenberry Golf Design
3. Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC
4. Sanford Golf Design
5. McCumber Golf
After the Oral Interviews were held the Evaluation Committee ranked the following five firms in the following order for consideration:
1. McCumber Golf 891 Points
2. Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC 878 Points
3. Dusenberry Golf Course Design 868 Points
4. Kipp Schulties Golf Design 843 Points
5. Sanford Golf Design 841 Points
If the City cannot reach an agreement with the top ranked firm then negotiations will be terminated and the City will reach out to the next ranked firm.
