Explanation:
The City Commission and Administration recognizes the importance of revitalizing the economic viability of the City. Towards this end, the Department of Design and Construction Management has been tasked to replace the Hollywood Police Headquarters Building which was approved by the General Obligation Bond.
The City followed the procedures established in the Florida Statutes, Section 287.055, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act to procure services from Architectural/Engineering consulting firms. The City advertised on Bidsync on April 19, 2019 a Request for Qualifications to Provide Architectural/Engineering Design Services and provided a scope of the project and selection criteria that will be used for ranking the responses.
Statements of Qualifications was received on May 20, 2019 from eleven (11) firms. Upon review of the Statement of Qualifications, the firms were ranked based upon specific selection criteria. The Evaluation Committee was comprised of in-house professionals, more specifically; the City Engineer, the Director of Development Services and two (2) Police Majors. Oral Interviews were held on June 11, 2019 with the following four (4) highest ranked firms:
1. Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC
2. OD+P
3. Architects Design Group
4. PGAL Architects
After the Oral Interviews were held the Evaluation Committee ranked the following four (4) firms in the following order for consideration:
1. OD+P 740 Points
2. Architects Design Group 715 Points
3. Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC 659 Points
4. PGAL Architects 657 Points
