Explanation:
On March 12, 2019, City of Hollywood residents passed the General Obligation Bond (G.O.B.) to fund a variety of city-wide public improvement projects which includes funding for improvements of Parks, Recreational and Cultural Facilities, Open Space and Golf.
Bicentennial Park is one of the parks listed and the scope of improvements includes replacing playground equipment, safety surfacing, shade system, replacing entry fence, replacing exercise equipment, resurfacing walking path and replacing ancillary park equipment.
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts requires the purchase and installation of playground equipment, playground surfacing and shade cover for Bicentennial Park as part of the City's (G.O.B.) Parks, Recreational and Cultural Arts Facilities Program.
The Interim Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts and the Director of Procurement Services recommend that the City Commission approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to Kompan, Inc.
