Title

A Resolution Of The City Commission Of The City Of Hollywood, Florida, Approving And Authorizing The Appropriate City Officials To Execute An Agreement With Broward County Regarding Parking Management And Enforcement In The Hollywood North Beach Pocket Park Parking Lots.

Body

Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

In 1987, the City and Broward County entered into a conceptual agreement to provide parking management and enforcement services in the Hollywood North Beach pocket park parking lots.

However, this agreement expired after 20 years, so staff for both Broward County and the City have negotiated the attached agreement for the City to manage parking in the North Beach pocket parks parking lots.

Public parking spaces in this area are limited and must be used both efficiently and safely and this agreement will allow the City’s Parking Division to enforce parking and safety violations in these specific parking areas.

The City will receive compensation for services provided based on a percentage of revenues (approximately $400.00-$500.00 per month), plus reimbursement of credit card fees.

The Parking Administrator recommends approval of the resolution.
