Explanation:
As a recipient of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, the City is required to develop a one- to three-year Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) describing how SHIP funds will be expended. It is anticipated that the City will receive approximately $202,288.00 of SHIP funds during State of Florida Fiscal Year 2020. Staff is proposing a three-year LHAP reflecting the anticipated level of funding during State of Florida Fiscal Year 2020.
The following LHAP activities are proposed to be funded annually during the State of Florida Fiscal Years 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022.

Program Administration $ 20,228.00
Anticipated Annual Total $202,288.00
In addition to the activities described above, the proposed LHAP provides Disaster Assistance to eligible households following a natural or manmade disaster, as declared by the President of the United States or Governor of the State of Florida. Disaster Assistance will only be implemented in the event of a natural or manmade disaster using any funds that have not yet been encumbered, or using additional Disaster Assistance funding made available through Florida Housing Finance Corporation.
