Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.
Explanation:
In order to continue with the furthering of the CRA objectives of the redevelopment Plan for the Beach District, the CRA intends to continue with Phase IV and SR A1A - Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and E/W Streetscape Beautification south of Hollywood Boulevard to the southern boundary of the City of Hollywood.
In order to expedite the total project completion, the CRA recommends approval of the design services for the undergrounding of overhead utilities consulting fees and bring forward at a later date, the consulting fees to the complete scope of professional services required to issue the construction documents for Phase IV and SR A1A - Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities And E/W Streetscape Beautification.
The CRA Executive Director recommends the issuance of a Notice To Proceed for the attached proposal with Kimley-Horn and Associates, in an amount not to exceed $374,860.00.
