Explanation:
On June 17, 2015, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2015-167 which established the Neighborhood Watch Advisory Board to assist the Police Department in developing a Neighborhood Watch Program to be implemented throughout the City, promote crime prevention education and facilitate crime programs in the neighborhoods, and facilitate neighborhood watch meetings.

On May 25, 2016, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2016-148 which amended Resolution No.R-2015-167 to increase the board membership by adding one (1) alternate.

On May 22, 2018, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2018-175 which amended Resolution No. R-2016-148 to decrease the membership by the elimination of the alternate position.

There are two geographical zones for the membership with seven members who reside in the eastern geographical zones and six members who reside in the western geographical zones.

The eastern geographical zones consist of: Northeast Central, Southeast Central, Northlake, Southlake, Hollywood Beach, South Federal and the Downtown District

The western geographical zones consist of: Boulevard Heights, Driftwood, 441 Corridor, Beverly Park, Northwest Central, and Southwest Central.

The members will serve in the geographical zones which are coordinated with the Police Department's Neighborhood Team Leader Patrol/Neighborhood Zones.

Currently, in the Eastern Geographical Zone, Susan Cutrone serves in the position for Downtown; Richard Clavet serves in the position for South Federal and Nathan Whitney serves in the Northlake and their terms expire on June 30, 2019.
