Staff Recommends: Approval of attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The current AAAC now consists of thirteen members and three alternates.

 

Members of the AAAC must reside or work in the City of Hollywood, be of African American descent, and/or have extensive knowledge and interest in the African American community.

 

Currently there are four member vacancies on the AAAC and two vacant alternate positions.

 

It should be noted that Shatoria Means currently serves as an alternate member and has applied to become a permanent member.  If appointed the alternate member position will become vacant and will need to be filled until June 30, 2020.  If she does not get appointed as a permanent member, then she will remain as an alternate.
