Explanation:
On November 5, 2008, the City of Hollywood, amended its adopted Comprehensive Plan to add a new Water Supply Plan to the Potable Water Sub-Element and related amendments to modify objectives and/or policies in the Land Use Element, Conservation Element, Utilities Element, Intergovernmental Coordination Element and Capital Improvements Element for water supply planning.

On May 6, 2015, the City Commission passed and adopted Ordinance No. O-2015-05, which amended the City's Comprehensive Plan by amending the Potable Water Sub-Element of the Utilities Element and updated the Water Supply Plan. This Plan characterizes water utilities serving the City's Jurisdiction and presents development of traditional and alternative water supplies, bulk sale agreements, and conservation and reuse programs that are necessary to serve existing and new development for a 20-year planning period while complying with regulatory requirements.

In accordance with Section 163.3177(6)(c)3., Florida Statutes, local governments are required to update their Water Supply Work Plans and Comprehensive Plans within 18-months after the District's Governing Board approves the Lower East Coast (LEC) Regional Water Supply Plan for that area.

On November 9, 2018 the LEC Regional Water Supply Plan was approved and the City's deadline for incorporation of the updated Work Plan into the Comprehensive Plan is May 9, 2020.
