Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

On April 6, 2016, the City of Hollywood, Florida Community Redevelopment Agency approved R-CRA-2016-09, which authorized the execution of an Interlocal Agreement with City of Hollywood (the “City Interlocal Agreement”) for operation of several community bus service routes (Trolley) and allowed the funding from the Broward County Transit Interlocal Agreement for financial assistance. On April 20, 2016, the City of Hollywood City Commission approved R-2016-102, which authorized the execution of an Interlocal Agreement with Broward County (the “County”) for financial assistance for several community bus service routes (Trolley).

On May 2, 2018, the CRA Board approved R-CRA-2018-13 authorizing the First Amendment to the City Interlocal Agreement which modified the service hours and funding for existing routes and allowed for the modification and/or termination of financial assistance for underperforming community bus service routes.

The CRA Board passed and adopted Resolution No. R-CRA-2018-54 to extend Maruti Fleet and Management’s contract for trolley services until June 30, 2019.  Since a new circulator service will be provided by The Free Ride, Maruti’s contract is not being renewed.  The City Interlocal Agreement will no longer be needed, since it relates to Maruti’s trolley services contract.
