Explanation:
At the April 3, 2019 City Commission meeting, Commissioner Biederman requested that the City Attorney’s Office draft a resolution urging the Florida Legislature and the Florida Governor to oppose legislative changes prohibiting the local regulation of vacation rentals. Commissioner Biederman’s request was supported by other City Commissioners.
Based upon the request, the proposed Resolution was prepared using recent resolutions other cities have passed.
