Explanation:

National Arbor Day is celebrated every year in April to recognize all the wonderful contributions that trees bring into our daily lives.  Some of these contributions include the reduction of erosion, cutting heating and cooling costs, production of oxygen and providing habitat for wildlife.  In conjunction with the National Arbor Day celebration, a volunteer project is scheduled on Thursday, April 18, 2019 to include the planting of a Gumbo Limbo tree at the Butterfly Garden, located at N. 26^th Avenue and Arthur Street.

The proclamation will be accepted Clifford Germano of the North Central Civic Association.

The proclamation will presented at the April 17, 2019 City Commission meeting.
