Explanation:

 

The Paralyzed Veterans Association of Florida, Inc. was founded in Miami in September 1956, and encompasses Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Martin counties.  In 1984, the Paralyzed Veterans of America set aside a week to raise awareness for issues of importance to paralyzed veterans and all individuals with disabilities.  In 2011, The Paralyzed Veterans of Florida, Inc. extended awareness for the entire month of April.  It is important to recognize the many sacrifices made by veterans. 

The proclamation will be accepted Juan Perez, President of the Paralyzed Veterans Association of Florida, Inc.

 

The proclamation will presented at the April 3rd City Commission meeting.
