Explanation:
On February 20, 2019, the City Commission passed and adopted resolution R-2019-030 approving new housing initiatives to be implemented in conjunction with the Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for Affordable Housing, Work Skills and Infrastructure. During the meeting, the City Commission expressed a desire for further discussion on this issue and requested that a workshop be scheduled.
Subsequently, a decision was made to hold a Special City Commission Meeting on the topic, in lieu of a workshop, to allow an opportunity for public input. During the Special Commission Meeting, staff will make a presentation on additional affordable housing initiatives to be implemented in conjunction with the ILA.
