Explanation:
The Department of Development Services, Division of Architecture, Engineering and Mobility, has been tasked with implementation of the City's capital improvement projects, taking these projects from the concept stage to reality.

Development Services was also tasked to search out and solicit outside funding sources and grants to assist in attaining these revitalization goals sooner rather than later.

With the complexity of the construction work and the time constraints of funding opportunities, staff wishes to enter into an agreement with multiple contractors to provide Construction Management at Risk Services for Capital Projects with an individual project estimated cost less than $2,000,000. These contracting services would be on an "as needed - when needed" rotating basis and the initial term of the continuing contract will be for three (3) years with the right to renew the contract for two (2) subsequent one-year terms based on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

The City followed the procedures established in the Florida Statutes, Section 255.103 Construction Management or Program Management Entities, Section 287.055, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act and City Code Section 38.40 c(6) to procure services from such Construction Management firms. The City advertised on Bidsync on December 17, 2018 for a Request for Qualifications to Provide Construction Management at Risk Services for City Capital Improvement Projects firms and a Statement of Qualifications was received from six (6) firms.
