Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached resolution.
Explanation:
Staff identified 13 concrete poles along the beach that were damaged by the salt environment and needed to be replaced. Staff estimated the project at cost of $65,000.00. Pursuant to R-CRA - 2016-54 the CRA Board ranked Burkhardt Construction Inc. (CM) as the firm to provide construction management services for various projects within the CRA districts. The CM provided a proposal for the pole replacement project at a cost of $68,231.06. Since the project cost is less than $200,000.00 the CRA Board can waive the requirement for bonds which will result in a further cost reduction in the amount of $940.63. The CRA Executive Director recommends accepting the CM proposal without the bonds.
