Explanation:
On September 5, 2018, the CRA Board passed Resolution No. R-CRA2018-31 authorizing the appropriate CRA officials to execute an agreement for a catalogue purchase of six First-Aid Stations and 15 Lifeguard Towers from Post and Beam, LLC. Post and Beam will fabricate the 21 Units according to the catalogue specifications, excluding the roof membrane components and painting.
CPZ Architects Inc., prepared plans and specifications for the Post & Beam, LLC. catalogue purchase for the roof membrane components of the six First Aid Stations and 15 Lifeguard Towers. Bid No. Beach CRA 16-002 included a requirement to provide the cost for an add alternate for a custom color of the roofing membrane component per CPZ Architects Inc. On December 17, 2018, the CRA issued the bid solicitation for the roof membrane components Beach CRA 16-002 to be publicly advertised. On December 19, 2018, the CRA issued Addendum No. 1 for BCRA 16-002.
Four (4) bids were received and publicly opened at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. The results are shown in Exhibit A. After all bids received were evaluated, the Executive Director of the CRA found the bid submitted by Pioneer Roofing Co., Inc to be the lowest responsive, responsible bid, and the Executive Director of the CRA recommends the award of this contract to Pioneer Roofing Co., Inc in the amount of $179,382.00.
