Explanation:
The City Commission established by Resolution No. R-2005-89 a procedure for the naming and renaming of properties, facilities Parks and memorials. The City Commission, by Resolution Number R-2017-076, amended the Procedures for the Naming of Renaming of Properties, Facilities, Parks, and Memorials. The City has received a request by the City Commission for the naming of Rotary Field 1 at Rotary Park, 3150 Taft Street.
The City Commission, by a 5/7 vote, agreed to exempt itself from the Procedures and name Rotary Field 1 located at Rotary Park, 3150 Taft Street as “Ernie Hartman Field”.
