Explanation:

The City Commission and Administration recognizes the importance of revitalizing the economic viability of the City. Towards this end, the Department of Development Service's Division of Architecture, Engineering and Mobility has been tasked to concentrate on the City's major corridors to provide the necessary visioning for aesthetically enhanced complete street concepts which considers the connectivity of all modes of transportation serving the businesses and residents living, working and playing in our community, and then taking these visions from the concept stage to reality.

Financial challenges come with implementation, and as such, Development Services was also tasked to search out and solicit outside funding sources and grants to assist in attaining these revitalization goals sooner rather than later. With the complexity of the design work and the time constraints of funding opportunities, staff wishes to enter into an agreement with multiple consultants to provide Civil, Landscape Architecture and Planning Engineering Services. These consulting services would be on an "as needed - when needed" basis and the initial term of the continuing contract will be for three (3) years with the right to renew the contract for two (2) subsequent one-year terms based on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

The City followed the procedures established in the Florida Statutes, Section 287.055, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act to procure services from such consulting firms. The City advertised on Bidsync on June 12, 2018 for Professional Engin...
