Explanation:
Food and beverages continue to be essential for City staff and residents who conduct business at the City.
An Agreement with Laura's and Lolitas DBA Alexandra's was approved by Resolution R-2018-148 for one (1) year beginning June 4, 2018 through June 3, 2019.
The owners of Laura's and Lolitas DBA Alexandra's sold their Business establishment and their last day of providing food and beverage services to the City was on November 8, 2018.
A meeting was held with the new owners of El Gran Cafecito Inc. DBA Alexandra's on November 8, 2018 to discuss the details of the existing agreement and notify them of the necessary documents needed such as a certificate of insurance, Sunbiz Registration, State of Florida Certificate of Registration, State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Hollywood Local Business Tax, W-9 and a Menu with pricing.
The agreement with Laura's and Lolitas DBA Alexandra's Article 11 authorizes the City to reserves the right to accept or reject the transfer or assignment of this Agreement in its sole and absolute discretion.
Allowing the new owners of Alexandra's to continue providing food and beverage services under the same terms and conditions of the Laura's and Lolita DBA Agreement will allow continuance of food and beverages for City personnel with no interruptions.
It is the recommendation of the Director of Procurement and Contract Compliance to authorize an agreement with the new owners of Alexandra's for a one (1) year Agreement beginning December 5, 2018 through December 4, 2019.
