Explanation:
The Hollywood Marina at 700 Polk offers a Public Boat Ramp and other facilities for boat launching into the Intracoastal Waterway, extensive flooding has occurred at the boat ramp facility during King Tides with bay water flowing up over the ramps and into adjacent roadways and local drainage system.

City staff, with assistance from Broward County Environmental Planning and Resiliency Division, submitted a project to improve the Boat Ramp and prevent sea level rise from overtopping the boat ramp.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) through its Florida Resilient Coastlines Program has selected the project Marina Boat Ramp Resiliency for funding. FDEP requires a formal application be submitted and eventually the execution of a grant agreement to be presented to the City upon approval of the application.

The City desires to apply for this grant in a total amount not to exceed $619,675.00. This grant requires the City to commit matching funds in the amount of $169,675.00.
