Explanation:
The 2007 Water System Master Plan and the 2007/2008 Wastewater Master Plan identified the need to implement several capital improvement projects to maintain and improve the high level of services provided by Department of Public Utilities.
Surveying services are required on an as needed basis to assist the Department of Public Utilities with design projects such as sewer, water, stormwater, reuse water, engineering studies and evaluations.
The City has a Professional Services Agreement with Stephen H. Gibbs Land Surveyors, Inc. for surveying and mapping services, and this agreement was approved by the City Commission pursuant to Resolution Number R-2017-153 on June 6, 2017.
The Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City Officials to execute the attached Authorization to Proceed for Work Order No. GLS 18-02 with Stephen H. Gibbs Land Surveyors, Inc. for miscellaneous professional surveying and mapping services on an as-needed basis in a total amount not to exceed $100,000.00.
Funding for the miscellaneous professional surveying and mapping services is available in the different capital improvement projects' accounts.
