Explanation:
There is a need for structure surface preparation and painting of buildings and various structures at the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant in order to prevent additional deterioration and damage to the facilities and equipment.
On April 19, 2018, the Department of Public Utilities staff advertised the project, soliciting qualified construction services, and on May 24, 2018, six bid proposals were received at the Office of the City Clerk and were publicly opened at the City of Hollywood Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant with the following results:

After thoroughly evaluating the bid proposals for compliance with the contract documents, Department of Public Utilities staff determined the bid proposal received from J&J, Inc., d/b/a Eagle Painting, was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The bid proposal received from Miami Nice Painting, Inc., had several bid items blank and therefore is deemed non-responsive.
A Notice of Intent to Award related to the project was posted on the City of Hollywood website and on DemandStar on June 14, 2018 and resulted in no bid protests.
