Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The City of Hollywood, Florida is partnering with Broward County, Florida in the modeling and update of the Broward 100-year Community Flood Map to incorporate the effects of sea-level rise and precipitation changes on future flood conditions.

 

It is necessary for the County and the City to enter into an Interlocal Agreement to share the cost of services for the 100-year flood elevation map and associated modeling.

 

The total cost of the services is $720,000.00 and the County will be sharing fifty percent of the cost and ten governmental agencies, including the City of Hollywood, will be sharing the other fifty percent; Hollywood’s share of the cost is $80,000.00.

 

It is necessary to amend the approved FY2018 Capital Improvements Program and allocate funding in the amount of $80,000.00, set forth in Exhibit A.
