Staff Recommends:  Approval of Attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

On May 9, 2018, the City of Hollywood's Community Development Advisory Board made final funding recommendations for various sub-grantees to provide public services within the city of Hollywood, as described below.

 

                     Hispanic Unity of Florida, Inc. for the Bridge Program in an amount not to exceed $14,927.00;

 

                     Hope South Florida, Inc. for the LIVE Hope- Living Independently via Employment Program in an amount not to exceed $12,050.00;

 

                     Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation, Inc. for the City of Hollywood Russell Reading Rooms Program in an amount not to exceed $18,046.00;

 

                     Second Chance Society, Inc. for the Hand-Up Program in an amount not to exceed $10,700.00;

 

                     Women in Distress of Broward County, Inc. for Outreach Services for Victims of Domestic Violence for the satellite location in the City of Hollywood in an amount not to exceed $19,277.00.

 

In accordance with the City's citizen participation process approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City Commission shall consider and approve the Community Development Advisory Board's funding recommendations and approve the execution of Agreements with each sub-grantee.
