Explanation:
In 2016, Migdalia Pimentel filed a civil action against the City of Hollywood for damages arising out of an accident that occurred in 2014. In her civil action, Migdalia Pimentel alleges that she was injured as a result of a collision at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and SR7/441 involving multiple vehicles, one of which was owned by the City and operated by a City police officer.
The City Attorney and Migdalia Pimentel’s attorney have negotiated a settlement in the amount of $87,500.00. If this settlement is approved by the City Commission, the monies will be paid from the City’s self-insurance fund. The City Attorney recommends that the City Commission approve the negotiated settlement.
