Explanation:
On May 2, 2018, the City Commission approved R-2018-136, authorizing the FWC grant application in the approximate amount of $13,750.00, along with $13,750.00 in matching funds which were to come from another grant considered contemporaneously. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation ("FWC") initiated this grant program to assist with the removal and proper disposal of derelict vessels from waterways.
The Police Department, upon City Commission approval, submitted a proposal for the FWC Vessel Removal Program Grant. Additional funding has become available and the Police Department wishes to amend the amount in the grant application. FWC Vessel Removal Program Grant funds will be approximately $20,625.00, along with $6,875.00 in matching funds, which will come from another grant considered contemporaneously.
If awarded, grant funds for the award period FY 2018, in the amount of $20,625.00 together with $6,875.00 in matching funds from the Florida Inland Navigation District Derelict Vessel Removal Program Grant will be used for the removal and disposal of derelict vessels located in the waterways of the C...
