Explanation:

On July 7, 1953 (Ordinance No.1148) the City of Hollywood deemed it in the best interests of the City to deed and convey the following described (abbreviated) parcel of property, the same not being needed for other municipal purposes, to the Armory Board, State of Florida, for construction of an Armory.

 

The deed contained a reverter clause providing that after a lapse of 25 years from date of completion of construction of the Armory, the land shall revert to the City in the event it is not utilized for Armory purposes.

 

The Armory Board through a Quitclaim Deed has agreed to the transfer of the Armory to the City of Hollywood at a cost of $10.00.
