Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Advisory Board was established by the City Commission to promote parks, recreation, cultural arts, special events and golf operations within the City.
The Board identifies goals and objectives on an annual basis and provides input on capital improvement projects and community needs, as they relate to the Department.
The Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts is recommending the establishment of a quorum of five Board Members for meetings due to the lack of a quorum over the past year; and
Presently there are five adult vacancies created by the expiration of Kimberly Norment-Schmitt, Tom Tianich and Larry Zolot whose term expire on June 30, 2018; and the removal of Earl Broughton, whose term expires on June 30, 2019, and Charles Pepin, whose term expires on June 30, 2020.
Presently there are two youth vacancies created by the expiration of Shelby Gronvold and a vacancy for another youth position.
