Explanation:
Florida Statutes provide for loans to local government agencies to finance the construction of water, wastewater, or stormwater facilities through the State Revolving Loan Fund Program; and
The Florida Administrative Code requires that the City Commission formally adopt a facility plan outlining necessary water and sewer facility improvements in order to participate in the State Revolving Loan Fund Program; and
The Department of Public Utilities updated its current Facilities Plan as a way to pursue State Revolving Fund loans to implement the necessary utilities projects, and the updated Facilities Plan covers the current status of the Waste Water Utilities and includes selected projects listed in the capital plan; and
A Notice of Public Hearing was published on May 3, 2018 and a public hearing was held by the City Commission on May 16, 2018; and
The Department of Public Utilities recommends that the City Commission approve the adoption of the City of Hollywood 2018 Facilities Plan Update Amendment for Waste Water Utility Improvement Projects.
